After a couple of poor experiences with overcrowded Pilates classes Shirley’s class in Mungret was recommended to me and I am absolutely delighted with my experience here - so much so that I keep returning for another set of classes!  Classes are small and Shirley ensures that all movements are being properly executed. Classes are thorough, beginning with breathing and warm up and progressing according to the ability of the class. There are a couple of movements which I find difficult and Shirley provides me with alternative movements suited to my ability.  As we move through the class Shirley briefly explains which muscle is being stretched/exercised which I find both interesting and reassuring. Shirley certainly knows her stuff and I am really enjoying her classes.  I feel stronger and leaner and a niggling IT band issue has cleared up. Because Shirley ensures that I’m doing the exercises correctly and I know the rationale behind each one I find that I’m easily able to incorporate Pilates into my exercise routine outside of classes.  I look forward to every class and every class is interesting and challenging. I joined Shirley’s Pilates class about 9 months ago. I love the class and find the exercises easier since I mastered how to breathe properly. Shirley is so patient and never tires of talking us through each exercise and reminding us to breathe! The classes are punctual and she always keeps them interesting. Each week she encourages us to try something new and challenging. I feel more toned and energized and have really improved my fitness, core strength, balance and posture. I highly recommend Shirley she is a wonderful teacher.

I've been wanting to take up pilates for a while but I have a bad knee so was anxious that I wouldn't be able to do it. I needn't have worried, 
since starting Shirley's Pilates classes almost a year ago I can honestly say it was one of the best things I ever did. My flexibility, balance and coordination
have improved so much. I really look forward to the classes every week, the small group setting makes it more personable and Shirley is a great teacher!
